University and Foundation Course Searches UNIVERSITY AND FOUNDATION COURSE SEARCHES The cost of a University Search depends on how much assistance you require. The charge for a University Search is usually around £750.00. If you need assistance to amend or write a document, this is charged at £85.00 an hour and is in addition to the charge for the University Search. The invoice less £200.00 is payable before work commences The cost depends on how much work is required. It is often necessary to visit and interview the family and the school before the Education Report can be written. Visits and court appearances are charged at £300.00 per half day and £550.00 for a whole day. Travel expenses are extra and are charged at 70p per mile. Writing the Report is charged by the hour and costs £85.00 per hour spent. The estimated invoice less £200.00 is payable before work commences CONSULTATIONS ON EDUCATIONAL MATTERS If it is necessary to look at documents before the consultation, such as a draft submission to the Appeal Panel, correspondence, reports, application forms or information from the Local Authority there is an additional charge of at least £30.00, dependant on the number and length of documents submitted for perusal. The cost of a consultation by telephone for up to one hour is £95.00. The cost of a consultation and where applicable the perusal of documents is payable by cheque or bank transfer before the consultation. A face-to-face consultation for up to one hour costs £105.00. The cost of a consultation and where applicable the perusal of documents is paid at the time of the consultation by cheque or cash. An additional charge is made for consultations lasting longer than one hour of: £47.50 per half hour or part of a half hour for telephone consultations Consultations out of normal office hours 9.00am -5.00pm and at weekends incur a supplementary charge of £10.00 per hour. If another consultation is required this is charged at the full consultation rate outlined above. The above charges include a brief preliminary discussion by telephone before the consultation. Additional Work and Research If it is necessary to research a matter before the consultation, or to further research it after the consultation this is charged at £85.00 per hour. If research is needed this is paid for before work commences. Cheques are made payable to "Penny Bysshe" Bank transfer details are available on request.
