FAQs for Solicitors

Q. Why should the solicitor be concerned about the education of the children in a conveyancing case?
A. Because it is in your best interests. In these competitive times it will improve your reputation and your business if you are seen to be a solicitor who is concerned for the well being of the whole family. It will also give you the edge on your conveyancing competitors. Parents do not automatically look to their solicitor for help in educational matters. They will be delighted to find one who has anticipated their needs and is able to suggest an add-on service to solve their educational problems.

Q. I deal with clients who move to new homes all round the country. Do you just find schools around London or do you search further afield?
A. I place children in schools in all parts of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. I cover all types of schools: state, independent (fee paying) schools, boarding schools, international and national schools, nurseries, further education and universities.

Q. I often deal with clients that move abroad. Can you help with finding schools world wide?
A. I place children in schools all round the world. I have a good working knowledge of education systems abroad and this enables me to make the move to a different country as smooth as possible for the family. I can also advise on when are the best times to move abroad and times when, due to exams it would be inadvisable to move schools.

Q. I deal with businesses that relocate families to the UK. Can you support families who have very little if any knowledge of British education?
A.I help families to gain an understanding of the English Education system by giving them clear and easy to understand information on the education system in the part of the UK to which they are moving. This information is updated regularly to keep up with the many changes to education in this country.  I will also answer any additional questions specific to their children’s educational needs. For clients with limited knowledge of the English language and English schools it is very helpful for them to be accompanied by me when they visit schools.

Q. I have been asked by clients to assist them with their Admission Appeal. Is this something you deal with?
A. I have a great deal of experience in helping families with Admission Appeals and Complaints to the Ombudsman. Please go to admission appeals to find out more about these services.
