General information for Solicitors

My services are of assistance to solicitors dealing with any matter that involves children’s education, for example Family Matters, Conveyancing and Business Relocation.

Divorce clients often have problems with their children’s education if they have to move to a new area with unknown schools or their children are facing a forced move from the independent to the state sector.

Conveyancing clients often need help in finding schools in a new area and in understanding complicated admission processes, particularly for state schools. Clients often do not think about mentioning these problems to their solicitor. A solicitor who demonstrates concern for the whole family by recommending my Educational Services will earn the gratitude of their clients.

I help parents to find places in independent and state schools, boarding schools, nurseries, international and national schools, colleges and universities in this country and abroad.

I assist parents with all types of Admission Appeals including selection appeals for grammar schools and transfer appeals. I represent parents at Appeal Hearings and deal with Complaints to the Ombudsman and the School Adjudicator.

I have considerable experience in dealing with problems involving children with Special Educational Needs and help parents with the statementing process and with Appeals to the SEND Tribunal.

I act as an Expert Witness in family litigation where there is an issue concerning education between separated or divorced parents.

I have experience of advising on a wide range of educational issues including bullying, discrimination, truancy, home education and school transport.

My husband is a solicitor specialising in family matters and we frequently find ourselves working together on child-related issues.
